Meet our laboratory director - Sue Guerin, M.D.
PTPLab works with multiple Board Certified Pathologists to provide you with the most accurate diagnosis. Our Pathologists give you the flexibility to send all cases for Interpretation, send only select cases for Interpretation, or to be used for consultations on cases as needed. You choose what works best for you. Susan Guerin, MD Dr. Guerin is board certified in Anatomic, Clinical, and Dermatopathology. She is a graduate of Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine. Her pathology residency was done at St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and she completed her Dermatopathology Fellowship at Denver General Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Guerin, who is also the Laboratory Director, is available for slide interpretation and consultations. If you would like Dr. Guerin to make the diagnosis on the initial slide, simply check the “Interpretation” box on the PTPLab requisition when submitting the tissue specimen. She will receive the slide with in twenty four hours of receipt of tissue at the lab. Turn around time for her diagnosis is typically twenty four hours. For Consultations, you may send your original slide back to the Lab, with a copy of the requisition marked for Dr. Guerin to read, or, you may call the lab and request an “additional slide” to be read by Dr. Guerin. |
